People always try do brighten their skin when their pimples are still irritated (still have a lot of red spots under the pimples), it means that the skin is still under inflammation situation, all you need to do at the moment is to calm it down (anti-inflammatory). We would suggest you to choose moisturising products with thinner texture in order to let the water and good ingredients absorbs deeper into your skin and thus do the anti-inflammatory effect. The brightening step should be done when the pimple spots turn into brown or black situation.
‘Higher the SPF, the more it could protect your skin.’ This is a very common mistakes that many people would take. If you’re not always under the sun along the day, you don’t need extra high SPF to protect your skin, the other way round, it would give more pressure to your skin that it couldn’t be relaxed during the whole day. SPF 15~30 would be fine if you work indoor. And the number is only to show that the time you could postpone your skin from getting burnt or aged under the sun, not how strong it is to protect your skin.
You should always wash your face after doing face mask. Many people would think that washing away the mask would be a waste since that the skin could absorb more and longer, that’s not true. Like eating food, you will stop when you’re full right? Same as the skin. Not the more the better, everything should stay balanced. On the other hand, if the texture of the serum in the mask is too thick for you, you will get pimples after absorbing for too long, and if the masks have some harmful substances like fragrances and parabens, it will absorb into your skin too and slowly turn your skin into the sensitive type.
